Born on the 30th of may, Sammie Okposo Nigeria born multiple award winning international artist, dedicated time in his youthful years to his local church playing the piano for the choir from age 10. His music profession started in 1992 when he joined the Nigeria Movie Industry as a Sound Track Producer and later ventured into Music Production. Today, he is credited for producing hits for some of the biggest names in the Nigeria Music Scene.

Sammie Okposo is a Globacom ambassador, motivational speaker, multi-instrumentalist, vocal coach, music producer/director, entertainment consultant, and md/ceo of zamar entertainment and Sammie Okposo Hope Initiative. In the year 2000 he took the African music scene to another level with the release of his debut album titled Unconditional Love. The hit track of the album “WELU-WELU” gained a lot of local and international popularity so much so that in 2004, Sammie was invited to perform at the Martin Luther King Day and July 4th Independence day Celebration respectively by the American ambassador to Nigeria.

He is a united nations youth ambassador for world peace and has featured prominently in concerts all over Nigeria, Africa, Europe, and America he has shared the same stage with the likes of Donnie Mcclurkin, Israel Houghton, Deitrick Haddon, Ron Kenoly, Cece Winans, John Legend, Kirk Franklin, Don Moen, Jessy Dickson, Nicole Mullen, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, Missy Elliot, Lionel Peterson, Angelique Kidjo, Koffi Olomide, Awilo Logomba.

Sammie with his twelve piece band “D X Generation” are labeled as one of the most electrifying musicians and inspiring voices in Africa. His music has won him not only a wide audience and critical acclaim, but also numerous awards in appreciation of his works, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, ADDICTED, NO MORE DRAMA and his latest album THE STATEMENT.
